While only having english voices is alright, japanese voices are much preferred because hearing english voices with anime style characters makes me want to rip my face off, thankfully you can stop the voices, unlike the ones in my head which never shut up.

I favor Japanese purely because it helps me learn the language. But apart from that it is not important what language is spoken.

I'm pretty sure the voice acting is what gives the game it's charm. If you bought it for another reason though, Valve would like to have a word with you.

To be fair while Japanese voice actresses are better for conversation they are positively ear grating when it comes to sex sounds... just watch any Japanese porn and you will see my point.

at least the lipsynching is good. Not like some games with english translations of other languages, though switching it over to Japanese or any other language would now throw things off

English voice is excelente(MUA), really, i'm so tired of japanese voice actress. There is another big plus of this great game.

At first I though that was weird to play a game with japanese visual style, but with western personality. But I quickly changed my mind, with the funny dialogue.
Don't forget that this is a western game with japanese style.
And I dare to say, that the sound effects, voice acting and music is even better than many other japanese games with hentai or ecchi content. Seriously, the moaning of some japanese voice actress sound like a goose being strangled.
