How do I edit the dds files?

Hey, I have photoshop CS6, and I got this game from HuniePop's website. Now my question stands, how do I edit the DDS files inside resources.assets file? GIMP and PS can't open it at all.

HuniePop's dds files are weird.

I've got an old version by Shawn Kirst installed. Dunno where to find it or if it still works with newer versions of GIMP.

Cat, can you please accept my friend invite for a sec? I just want to ask you a thing because even when I've installed this, it just doesn't work. Which version of GIMP you have?

You can find it in plugins folder though.

\GIMP-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins

Should be dds.exe

I am using Unity Asset Editor to unpack things and stuff like atlas0.dds just doesn't open.

Can't believe it's so hard to type "Photoshop DDS plugin" into Google...

An alternative would be the ultra simple and free http://www.getpaint.net.
It supports DDS out of the box, and there's also a Portable[montcs.bloomu.edu] version.
