What does getting a girl drunk in the game do??

I've been playing the game the whole (Valentine's) day, but I didn't pay attention on the girls' alcohol intake; i.e. I'm not buying them drinks. I may be missing something by doing that.

It also gives you sentiment at the start of the puzzle bit, up to 6 sentiment if you max out their drink meter. Maxing out food gives you extra moves, up to 24 moves at the start.

Specifically, each point on the alcohol meter is a 10% bonus to the Hunie you get from Talking to them (both initially and by correctly answering questions). For a max of 12 points, it's a +120% bonus.

On a date, each two points on the alcohol meter gives you one starting point of Sentiment, or six points for a maxed meter.

... I have done up to Alpha Date 5 without ever realizing this. That will make the rest so much easier.
