Proof that Momo is not a cat at all and is maliciously deceiving the player into performing depraved acts
Cats cannot taste sweetness. Their tongue is physically incapable of such a feat entirely. This is an indisputable, scientific, cat fact. The game itself outlines this very truthism very obviously in the form of a quiz given by the endearing furball in question.

Yet, in spite of this amusing aspect of feline biology, her favorite food includes none other than sickeningly sweet desserts.

How do you explain this inexcusable atrocity? The inconsistency instantly breaks my immersion; I can no longer see the character as the self-proclaimed stray cat she wants you to believe that she is. What now lies before me is nothing but a perverted child beguiling others to fulfill her vulgar master-slave fantasy, and not simply a feral animal to be tamed.

To amend the issue by restoring the original intentions behind the Momo character would remove any moral qualms about associating with such a lewd manipulator and rightfully replace them with the simple pleasure of a pure kitten's companionship. I can only hope that this clear oversight be rectified before I'm lead to believe the developers intentionally designed a despicable fiend masquerading as a lovable pet pandering for affection.

I can tell you that all of my cats liked and wanted any dessert I ever ate. They may not taste sweet, but like it anyway. Just don't give them any chocolate. Not sure if the game do allow to (would be kind of a bummer, since chocolate is poison for cats).

Sweetness isn't the only flavor in desserts. Thats why people eat different desserts and not just raw sugar. Cats are the same way. Mine definately prefers the pastries I bring home from a Ukrainian bakery. So there...

I always knew Momo was bad news when the 'homeless kitty' was able to approach me with a clean set of clothes and could practically speak the english language well. (Who taught her? She's 1!)

The answer is parallel dimensions. Kyu mentions it that her world is part of one and that was why the gifts cost so much hunie. Transporting them across dimensions is apparently expensive.

The fact remains that carbohydrates in general are bad to feed your cat, as they lack the necessary facilities to both enjoy the taste and properly digest them. Being strictly carnivorous, vegetables and sweets would be the last thing cats actively seek out to eat, let alone consider as their personal favorite, yet Momo's preferred diet consists entirely of these poisons without consideration for meat in the slightest.

It completely contradicts her claims as a common house cat and outlines the glaring impossibility that is never addressed in-universe. Characters may comment on your indulging of bestiality with the self-professed kitty, yet it is becoming more and more apparent that she is anything but.

Well duh. She is a cat-girl. Doesn't mean she is a full cat. She has cat features but that is, as far as one is able to tell, the only thing cat like about her.

She's only got cat ears and a tail. I'm sure if you tried inserting candy into/under any of those she wouldn't enjoy it very much, so they're actually pretty accurate about her feline biology.

She is not a cat, she is a Neko cat-girl. Big difference.. sorta.
UnLuckyCat Feb 15, 2015 @ 2:11am
She absolutely is supposed to be a straight up cat. She says as much herself multiple times, she acts as much like one whenever possible, and her favorite things involve cat toys and fish. Simply pay attention to her dialogue when giving her alcohol, for example. Is that the aloofness of a naive little cat, or just another elaborate hoax perpetrated by a debased con artist?

That it's even put to question is precisely the issue here. So many of you are convinced the only true catlike features of hers are the ears and tail, but are even those a falsehood as well? Does she, in fact, have a real day job besides as a professional "kitty"? What was she doing in the park that day, proclaiming to be a stray? Why the penchant for finding a Master? How do you explain her fruity language?

If she were truly just an average girl with accoutrements, the only logical conclusion is it's all a deranged obsession of hers. There is no longer any valid reason for her half-baked attempts to appear felid. All of it is as a device to entrap an incognizant benefactor and propagate her debauchery.

Once again. She is a Neko catgirl."female character with cat traits, such as cat ears, a cat tail, or other feline characteristics on an otherwise human body" so she acts like a cat in life, but has the body and needs of a human. Which is why she eats normal food. but hey not to split hairs, the only important part to take from this is that she isn't an actual cat.

considering it's a fiction game,
and there's no such thing in non-fiction as a cat girl...

you have no basis to say it's wrong. mainly because momo isnt a cat. in game literature has her as a cat girl.

you would have to put it in cat girl standards, not a cat.

You talk as if the creators are gifted free reign over the universe should any fictional element be included. "Well talking cats don't exist in real life, so ours can travel through time and fly."

No. It's poor storytelling to break an established characterization with an easily avoidable slip-up. I half expect to catch Celeste steeping herself in blue pigments with how disingenuous the HuniePop cast is turning out to be.

Show me just one example where Momo refers to herself as anything other than a "kitty" or a plain old cat. Unique date gifts follow the pattern of "...for a ___ girl" somewhat as a rule, and even hers do not mention "cat girl" so I don't know how you can come in here and say that with a straight face.

I hate to say it, but everything you said Unlucky is rather dumb. With fictional elements as you call it, there are certain concepts. One is cats, one is neko cat girls. You can't mix momo in with straight up cats, because honestly no cat here looks like her to say the least. She refers to herself as a kitty, but that doesn't mean she is a cat. heck my nickname is pup, and people call me that. It doesn't mean I'm an actual puppy. So call her a cat if you want, but you will only be part right, nothing more.
