Actually, technically it does.
Audrey's announcement posted on HuniePots website that she was added to the game says this:
After realizing that the last person she opened up her heart to was cheating on her with like ten other chicks, Audrey developed a bitter hatred of men and fell to hard drugs to escape the emotional pain.
She cams for the satisfaction of taking money from men and to feed her awesome coke habit.
Obviously, the "cheated on her with 10 other girls" is a reference to HuniePop.
If I could've picked only one girl and finish the game that way, I'd pick Audrey any day.
Even then, why do you care? they're fictional characters; not real. Why should huniecam effect your ideal huniepop fantasy.
I care simply because I care, I have loads of favourite characters in various games and anime, and just because something is a spin-off, doesn't mean I'd want one of these characters to end up like Audrey did.
I get your point, I still don't like it though.
And you can change to being a girl in HuniePop, though that seems to be more of an afterthought, with some of the dialogue and pictures not really being different. (Audrey's third picture (I think) and text message for that picture as an example)
Watch the video and hopefully you'll understand why I care.
Basically she's (Audrey) the most unique character in the game, with most other characters being boring.
Oh and, I talk more about Audrey than Nikki, simply because Audrey is the one I like the most.
But Nikki in huniecam is just strange.
Also if I recall correctly the devs stated on their Twitter at one point that they do read the boards on Steam.

I'm simply expressing my opinion on the matter.
At first I thought I was the only one who didn't like to see Audrey/Nikki on HunieCam, then I stumbled across the video in my post and noticed I wasn't alone so, decided to post this.
And Nikki, sure, her reason is plausible, but taking her character and personality into account, being an extremely shy girl who can barely talk, her camming sounds strange lol.
And I know he reads it but not sure how often.
However, I feel that there was no formal introduction to there ever being a serious relationship with the girls. I mean, not many people go out on dates instantly with another person. I just feel when I play the protagonist that I am single while playing through and only after alpha mode do I decide on someone.
If the characters had more story and more character/character interaction, I could see both theories being correct. But since the characters only interact 2 times with characters at the beginning of the story, (main 8) it just doesn't fit, and feels more thoeretically possible if you were playing as a single male the whole time and they all just became "friends with benefits".
Same. Most unpleasant character of the entire game.
And what means "decent contributing member of society"? you? lmao doesn't seem like this according to what you are trying to do...
In topic: Audrey seems fitting for me while nikki is not cuz of last being shy.
Fun fact: in one of the mails she sends to ya she says she cheated on one guy which is minus point to good personality and + point to being added to hunie cam...(cuz of her personality fitting the thing)
P.S. By saying that i don't like Audrey i don't want ppl to keep argueing with me, ill just provide my opinion and leave lmao
As if I was going to care what someone on Steam says, was hoping that would be fastest way to shut you up, apparently it wasn't.

It's more the reason Audrey supposedly started camming that I find stupid really.
If I'm gonna be honest I can't even remember what I wrote on my first post, it is a few months old, I think.
Anyway, I'd be fine with Audrey being in the game no problems if not for her sad... intoduction I guess?
But yeah, to be honest, I don't really care anymore, this post was made on a whim pretty much, though what I mentioned above stands true, this post makes it out to be more of a problem than it really is.
