I WAS GIFTED THIS GAME I SWEAR.

made me want to start playing bejeweled again, but sadly bejeweled doesn't have boobs waiting for me

- The first half is incredible, filled with unique challenges and very memorable areas.
- The npc's you encounter throughout the game are great and come back at certain points.
- Gameplay is decent and even amazing on the harder areas.

However

During the second half, After Anor Londo, it starts to get downhill

- The areas after you aquire the lordvessel (during the multiple paths for the lord souls), are mostly sub-par, with the only memorably great one being the dukes archives and to be fair it is very difficult. Though the demon ruins + Lost izalith, and the tomb of the giants are just a pain to go through, with the tomb of the giants being a blind nightmare with hard enemies, and the other being a snoozefest of boring design and no challenge (except the bed of chaos) ♥♥♥♥ that boss, ♥♥♥♥ bed of chaos worst boss in the series actually.

Out of 10 id say it deserves a solid 8 or 8.5, though the charisma and appeal of this game makes it one of my favourites of all time. Even Compared to the other souls games. None of the downsides of this game actually feels like it ruins the experience of going through dark souls for the first time. From soft has only replicated this style of game perfectly with bloodborne, with future installments being slightly different (ds3 being linear and elden ring being open world and very diluted. Ds 2 and sekiro obviously cannot be compared with one of them being extremely different and one being an actual bad souls game.
