For rfactor 1 have seen 2 -3mods one that can be installed in rfactor and one standalaone for rfactor http://tt.servegame.com:100/RFACTOR1/CARS/?search=NASCAR

I know about VHR, but it never worked well for me. How are you supposed to make it work?

i never installed in rfactor because VHR mod installed another terrain.tdf file in the locations folder that makes missmatches on tracks online also it makes another commonmaps.mas

better use another mod that works better in rfactor

In my honest opinion, Stockcar Evolution 2014 still nukes every other Nascar titles by far, except maybe iRacing.
Stockcar Evolution 2014 is still superior to Nascar 2003 Season, Arca Sim Racing X, rFactor 2 stock and that Nascar Heat crap. It just need a bit more of configuration.

I know this is more than 3 years old now, but I've been looking for mods with actual racing series and maybe even some street cars to add to my rFactor Steam install... I use JSGME (Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler) for mod management in rFactor and a few other games that don't have built-in mod managers, and it works like a charm!

I have rFactor though, and NASCAR Racing 2003 is not available on Steam or another trustworthy digital game store platform

NR2003 is abandonware.

It's legal to download.

I wonder if there's a way to mod NR2003 like rFactor where you can change things like the gearbox. I want a 6 speed sequential gearbox for a "NextGen 2.0" type NASCAR I've been wanting to make ever since the Next Gen cars were confirmed to have sequential gearboxes, but have only 5 gears in real life... 6 is a nice even number.

Having 6 gears would make NASCAR come in line with most other racing series that use cars with sequential gearboxes, since most sequential race cars nowadays have 6 gears. It might not be the most realistic, I know, but we have our preferences.
