Maybe change the name to Magellan: Titanic Exploration? I think it would be easier and much better suited for the game.
Better turn it off completely. I hate that laser.
Graphics/UI:
- More robust and linearly customizable graphics options, including:
.....• Underwater visibility distance slider
.....• Underwater brightness slider
.....• Customization options for resolution, vsync, AA, etc.
.....• Ability to play borderless windowed
.....• Ability to change shader model independent of other graphics options
- UI on/off toggle switch
Control / Gameplay Changes:
- ROV thruster strafing mechanics using Q and E (having to rotate all the time using A and D gets annoying)
- Remappable buttons
- Ability to have tether cut or tied in realistic mode
When piloting in first person view, it would be nice to be able to swap to the other cameras (particularly the side-facing utility cameras) that are on the real Magellan Argus Worker XL ROVs to help maintain situational awareness without having to switch to third-person view.
It would be nice if at realistic difficulty we would have to deal with the currents at the wreck site. I know the real ROVs have station keeping and other autopilot functions, but no current at all feels a bit too easy. Likewise, tether management is a key part of real ROV operations, so it feels weird for it to be largely absent in the realistic difficulty. (Maybe a separate control van difficulty for us weirdos who would want something closer to an ROV study sim.)
Free-roam should be a separate mode accessible from the main menu.
