Ice Caves locked Chest

I cant seem to open this chest even though i have lockpicks. I slide it like i do with other doors/boxes and it wont recognize the lockpick. Anyone know how to open this chest?

I am having the same problem. The chest has the blue lockpick icon, but won't recognize when I slide my lockpick over it. I end up just dropping the lockpick on the ground.

It is the chest guarded by the large shard guardian in the northeastern (bottom right) section of the map.

ya, tried for an hour killing everything and looking for a key drop on the map and parent map, spent an hour trying to unlock it. couldn't. RIP

the lockpick should work if i recall correctly if you dropped it, it means you didnt interact with the chest (make sure the chest is green and or you see "you cannot pick this lock"
that means it failed, if you get no message like that, you didnt use the lockpick correctly.

ill check again soon and see what i find but again if i recall, its just a lockpicked chest.

No I dont think you understand. The lock picks have 0 interaction with the box. Its bugged.

i do understand, i said id have to go back and check it out too..
but i dont recall a single thing i couldnt get open in the game.. ever.

just got there in my game and am having same problem. All other lockpicable
chests worked fine.

ill try to shoot a speed run again for that area, i dont recall ever being able to NOT open a single chest in the game, and I know I didnt miss any.. but i skip the side quests on later runs..so ill have to check it out again.
to be clear this is the bear cave? (ice cave) or do you mean the ice shrine in the cliffs?
just so i can be sure which area you are all talking about

Where is this cave, Kaldire? I'm not sure I hit the bear cave in my game but I quit before the end. I got bored after the Sword of light and never finished the game, though I enjoyed it.

I'm playing on iOS but definitely opened it with the lockpicks. Try moving the mouse over different parts of the chest and the lock icon, get to know the hand symbols and see when they change. If it's the one after the giant, there's the best sceptre in the game in it.

I'm still looking for a level 20 bow...

Dude at this point in the game they introduce you to the lock pick mechanic. You drag the lockpick scroll from your inventory to the chest right? Thats what I did. It works on every other chest except this one. period, Its bugged. And tbh Ive already beaten the game so at this point its irrelevant.

2. its pickable I tested it also. so ..
3. try not to start with DUDE... as in you dont care he is giving valid input as it didnt work for you, and or you "beat the game"

the chest you speak of, is.. pickable..

I didnt mean things how it sounded. I am simply trying to say that theres a clear problem that shouldnt be ignored. His tone sounded like he was trying to say I couldnt figure out the mechanic.It almost sounded sassy. but at any rate I skipped that part unfortunately. I enjoyed the game it was fun though a bit short. Time goes on.

Has anyone solved this yet? I've cleared almost everything but I can't open this one locked chest. Dragging a lockpick from inventory to the chest does nothing.

again very odd, maybe dev can look into it,
as most of us can PICK this lock but it seems a few cant..
strange..

to be clear though which caves are we talking about,
ice cave = bear cave boss quest for cliffs
or do you mean the ice shrine?

This is the big ice cave that leads to the alter. The chest is at the very right edge of the cave complex.

I've tried dragging the lockpick over it multiple times but it never interacts (where the icon changes). All it ever does is drop the lockpick on the map.
