Main Quest Missing For Bog

Anyone else missing the quest to enter the bog? I have gotten the vial and finished the quest to give the alchemist the vial to make the potion to breath the air but i have no quest after that and still cant enter the bog without dying. Am i missing something or is it bugged?

quest is not bugged, when you click on the vial with the potion the alchemist made,which drops on the floor after its made, there should be a quest marker which leads to the zombie infested cave which leads to the bog

For me it dropped on the counter next to the alchemist. It's bright glowing green, you can't miss it!

Same problem here. I gave the alchemist a vial and oops... neither she created any potion nor there is a main quest... Only secondary quests are available now.

I've been in that cave when I was just exploring. It was HARD to clear at level 7 :)

I just ran through the mob, leaving them behind. It worked.

Same here. Any workaround ? When hit "~" we got a console. I tried to type "help" and got many "cheatcode" including a "startquest" command. Just don't know what parameter to use

You should never have no main quest, so that sounds like a bug to me. Let's try to figure out what's going on. :)

Just to clarify, you give Gia the item she wants, and she drops a potion on the counter next to her (a big green glowing potions). You have to click that potion to continue the quest.

So is the problem that the potion isn't appearing? Or are you clicking the potion, but the new quest isn't being given?

If you want to use the cheats, you can use "startquest 49" to start the quest that asks you to go to the Bog. That is the quest you are supposed to get after drinking the vial.

I give the vial to Gia and she doesn't drop a potion. And the Main quest just disappears. I hope it will help to improve your great game!

Yep, no potion from Gia. The only big green potion i saw on the counter is a vital potion and i couldn't touch it without *triggering* her ( "don't steal my stuffs" ).
About the cheatcode. It could get me into the cave then the bog of souls alright. But without the potion, my party would die immediately when got in to contact with the poison cloud ( greenish fog ).

Ugh ok, here is the cheat sequence to try if you run into this:

compquest 51
startquest 49

We're working to try to figure this one out for a patch, but in the mean time doing those two cheats should get you going again.

I had no issue with the potion part at all, but I did bork my game up but good after that!

I'd been to the Bog earlier through the zombie caves (around lvl 8-9, got some levels making it through unscathed thanks to careful fighting and lots of flame attacks), but left after I triggered the note that the location was now unlocked.

When the time to go back to that map arrived, instead of follwing the quest instructions to go back through the zombie cave... guess who just bypassed that step and warped? Yep. I found out if you do that and make it to the Necromancer, you do speak to him, but after he vanishes and you go to Pinnacle, you can't get in. Oops.

Even if you go to the zombie cave at some point and trigger THAT part of the quest, once you get back to the necromancer, he's not there because he was spoken to already. Ah well. As I'd done all the other events in the cave, I had to reload an old save file, which was thankfully only about 2 hours from where I messed up.


But, hey - I ended up making it through that cave faster the second time and Pinnacle opened right up as it needed to

Just letting everyone know we are getting a patch ready that sorts out these quest issues. Hopefully released mid next week (if QA goes well), it will be version 1.03.
