Fast Travel Issues?

I don't know if this game explained this to me earlier or not, but I seem to be struggling with fast travel. I don't really know how to add new travel points, or how to find them. I assume most major locations have one? I have one in the starting dungeon, one in darkwood, and one in radiance.

The problem is that I've progressed the story up to the point where it's time to go to the Bog of Souls and have completed every side quest along the way. Surely at some point I should have unlocked new travel points while crossing the entire world map?

Having to walk all the way from darkwood to the city of light doesn't seem like the intended experience. Is something wrong? Am I missing something?

There's a trigger point that you have to run through in each location to open a new travel point. There's definitely one in the City of Light - you have to wander round until you find it.

Some require you to be at a specific location, like Farmlands requires you to be near the inn to unlock it. Some just require you to enter an area, so as long as you have been in the City of Light you can then fast travel back there at any time.

If the City of Light fast travel is supposed to unlock just from being there, something may be wrong with its trigger. I've quested for a while there, and have even largely moved on. Fast travel locations just stopped unlocking anywhere after the first section of the game.

Actually for City of Light there is no trigger! Just being there should unlock it. This is super weird. Any chance you could send me your savegames? Just zip up <Documents>/Ember and send it to [e-mail]

I can't think of any reason why they would not unlock as long as you've got Fia...
