Game won't launch...?
So is there a reason that nothing happens when I hit play or...?

I've restarted steam, validated files, restarted my computer... nothing changes... Yet magically I somehow have 3 minutes played from all the times I've tried to start it up... -_-

Most of the time if the game won't launch we've found it is caused by Steam not installing some required files on first startup. Try this:

Right click on Ember in your Steam library and select Properties. Select the Local Files tab, then click Browse Local Files. It will pop up an explorer window, go into the _CommonRedist directory, then go into DirectX/June2010 and run DXSETUP.exe. After that is complete, go back to _CommonRedist, then go into vcredist/2012/ and run vcredist_x86.exe. After that completes, hopefully the game will run.

It does a little bit more now. It says - Running then - Syncing but after that it just stops running.

Strange, it can't set the game to the same resolution as your desktop (which it does on first startup). Try temporarily setting your desktop resolution to something fairly low, starting the game, setting it to the resolution you want in the options, then quitting the game. You can then set your resolution back to normal and hopefully the game will start from then on.

Out of curiosity, what resolution do you run your desktop at?

1920 x 1080 is what I make it through my NVIDIA settings. The windows 1920 x 1080 settings go beyond the boundaries of my screen for some reason though, so that's set to 1786 x 1004.

Did you install both directx and the vcredist_x86.exe files?

If so, and it still won't launch, can you post your ogre.log here? Usually the end of that file will give us a hint.

I didn't find Ogre.log file though. The files with name "Ogre" are all dll files

If no log is generated that means Steam isn't even launching the game at all, very strange! I think your best bet is to go through the official support channels, if Steam isn't even starting the game there isn't much I can help you with. There is a Steam support button you can hit when the game is selected, or you can make a ticket with 505 support on support.505games.com
