Game Ending (spoilers)

Hello,

I've recently finished Pixel Story and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm wondering if I'm missing something with the ending, though. (Obviously spoilers follow)

I completely the game, got all the coins, and all the memory chips. Getting the final memory chip unlocked a bunch of options in the bedroom, but I never got to go and look at what they did because as soon as I got the final memory chip, I was locked into the ending, and after that I'm not able to continue my game anymore.

Is this how it is supposed to work? I'm not even sure how I could possibly view those options in the bedroom since you can't get all the memory without getting all the coins, and as soon as you get them it's game over. Is there an extra special ending if I complete the Challenge Room Challenge? Does something different happen if I complete the game twice?

I don't mind playing it a second time if there is more but I don't want to do it all again for nothing.
