You are really a piece of work. I was giving the simplest advise. Playing more is the best way to get better at MOBAs [or Strife]. If you want to give more detailed advise, go ahead, but don't call me a troll, start another aguement [in another thread] and derail someone's topic before it's even had a chance to get going. You have a personal grudge that affects your judgement.
JooHyun, my advise stands - play Strife more and you will get better. Don't let any worries get to you - experience is the best teacher. Don't worry if you aren't very 'good' to begin with.
Watch the minimap constantly, every few seconds at least glimpse at it.
Never fight enemy heroes under their towers.
Listen for commands and pings from teammates.
If you see your team grouping up, join in, don't continue to push/farm.
Do objectives as they come up.
Ask questions, either in game or on the forums. A good time to ask is once you and your team are dead. During the reload time you can ask simple things.
Use the V key to signal what you are doing, running back to base, need help, or just saying "good job" to a good play.
Don't just play random heroes randomly. Instead, play a few heroes and really master them. This is recommended because you'll get to learn their limits -- how much damage they can take, how careful you need to be, and how far you can extend.
Also, the meta of common MOBAs have different positions (carry, support,...) and it might also be worth your time to master a role. It may be different switching back and forth between tanky supports who can handle lots of damage, and carries who are so squishy they die almost instantly.
That said, it's a heck of a good time, even if you only fight bots. I'm sure the little confidence I've built doing well in the bot matches will be wiped away when I try actual pvp, but will worry about that bridge when I get to it.
Main thing I'm trying to say is: this one should be fun even if you're terrible. So don't worry about it, and just play. You'll pick up things as you go along.
Pick a hero, find videos on tube, watch it.
Enter coop game with bots, try what you learned from video and get the ideas of your hero.
Enter the next match and try the ideas you got from previuos game
Repeat.
hi there. im very similar to you i guess.
y first try with MOBA is DOTA2...and i dont even now what to buy and why.
strife is easier. just click but the recommended things. even u dont have the money, it will buy the recipe.
add me, lets play together.
and thanks for teams so far, bear the osing. i have most death so far because im testing all the heroes.
anyway, i like my base at the bottom. in case i got top base (Valor?) can i rotate the screen? or can i choose which side i want?
If you do learn a bit from bot games then videos and websites are worth visiting as well.
