S2 Games started off as a great developer, then went downhill from there. Strife was a great idea, but they laid off about 40 employees a week or two after it went live. 4 people quit shortly after that and they tried to revive savage, but that failed too because they actually CHARGED for it to begin with and didn't even do anything about it after launch.

The CEO himself has a whole history of marketing and banking. Seriously. The whole company was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ under the leadership of someone like that. He probably never even played a game in his life.

I left Strife a while back, because I could see that it was likely not gonna take off due to the low amount of players. I always held some hope that the game would become a success though. I really loved the zero toxicity mechanics. This is sad news.
