Steam Deck Issues

I'm loving the game so far, but have run into some control issues on steam deck.

- Buttons in the menus are really touchy. Pressing a button often results in it being registeed twice.
- in regular gameplay, pressing A or B on my steam deck (or controller) act as the same button. The same ix true for X/Y. It's all fine until you get the bombs...

Lot's of people have played the game on Steam deck with no issues. Do you have Steam Input enabled? Some people have had problems with it enabled. Are you playing it in Desktop Mode? What kind of controller are you using?

I think I figured out what the issue is. Playing on Steam deck itself is fine.

My issues were with using an external, Switch Pro style controller with the steam deck. The game seems to see it as both a Steam Input controller and the Switch Pro controller at the same time. You can see the game flashing between the two on the controller settings screen. It's why button presses are registering twice, and it's why A/B and X/Y were equivalent - the button presses are being registered by both controller drivers simultaniously.

I might try getting a Switch Pro controller and seeing if I can test things out to see if I can make things to be a bit more compatible. Thanks for the info.

Yeah you probably want to disable steam input for this game in particular. I might try to just implement steam input at some point. I like the SDL implementation of the controls I'm using and didn't want to redo them, but I might have to in order to prevent conflict.
