Game doesnt launch

I tried to play it, every time it starts up and I heard a sound and after 2 seconds it sends me back to my desktop. How do I fix this?

I tried running as admin
I tried launching as windows 7 compatability

I had the exact same problem ...i rolled back to windows 8.1 from 10 and works great

Quite a few are experiencing this issue and no one solution has worked for everyone, indeed some haven't found a solution that works for them at all yet. We are working hard on this one, it is one of our biggest prioroties at the moment, but in the meantime I hope one of the suggestions in the Discussion works for you!

You have to run the game through Uplay, download it and activate the game with the key you get from steam,assuming you have done that it is the only way i know of playing the game.Works for me.

Ann already activated the game, the problem is on launch. It starts up but immediately goes back to desktop after launching.

uplay got back to me and said I should upgrade my sound card.
I was going to get a whole new gaming pc in 2 weeks time anyway so I will see if it works then :)

It's not that uncommon actually. Recently I tried to get Diablo 2 to run on my current system and it launched but would go to black screen and freeze there even though I could still hear the audio. After extensive google-fu I found that many were having the problem and it was traced back to certain audio cards not working properly with the game with their current drivers, the fix was to revert back to an old audio driver. Once I did that the game itself launched and ran just fine.

Audio cards often interfere with aspects of a game that do not seem related to audio at all. Its happened to me and I'm sure some google-fu will confirm to you that it's actually a fairly frequent occurance with all kinds of games.

Hey Chris, can someone, anyone, at ubisoft explain to me WHY the server for zombiu on wiiu has been closed???!!! No leaderboards, no infected survivors from other players, no spray can messages, people can't even unlock the extra skins for the cricket bat and the 1980's title screen because you had to be ONLINE in the uplay option for that!!

What the hell?! The game isn't even 3 years old yet!!!!!!!

btw who at ubisoft thought it would have been a GREAT IDEA to have the single player unlockables only available for people who were online on uplay????

I thought maybe they would think about giving wiiu players the 2 extra melee weapons as dlc but instead they gave us the finger and close the server on us?????

Yes please, UbiChrisMANG, I am also keen to hear about the status of the WiiU servers.

And about plans for the PC version, naturally. Patch, adding missing features/effects etc.
