oh damn :/ i thought itd be more fun if it was well yea open world like most zombie games but i guess il ltry it out :)
Resident evil, Silent Hill, Alone in the dark ect... no open world.
I might agrre though that the non-open world games are more focussed and can deliver the scares.
theyr'e all open world and sandbox
well that keeps me slightly more intrigued :) , just downloading now
Thanks for that response. That convincs me to save my money.
Only Ubi would be dumb enough to take a permadeath mechanic and insert it into a story driven game. Though I guess they could have done it well, them being Ubi I strongly suspect otherwise.
could have have been a great Sandbox experience, but, well, its Ubi.
Get Ubi to Disappointment.
Oh the glorious days of things such as Darksun. Hell even Oregon Trail had more survival to it then alot of todays games lol
The confused reaction to ZOMBI really shows how prevalent those early access Sandbox Survival games have become. It seems a whole generation of players now associates "Zombies" with any kind of DayZ or Minecraft clone.
Its really curious. Nobody wondered what Alien: Isolation was supposed to be. Or Bioshock Infinite. Simply add Zombies into your Singleplayer Game and modern PC users can't handle it.
XD
Pretty much that. Steam has been swarmed with sandbox zombie survival titles. Mostly for two reasons: They're relatively easy to make. Take a map, add players, add some creatures with bad ai. Some generic crafting and resources with hunger meters and call it a survival game. Also, stay on top of the steam storepage because the one guy that plays it will talk all his friends into it because 'it's really hardcore guys and together we can totaly rock all that noobs'.
Not all of them are bad, Rust for example evolved into something better. But most of them just aren't survival but rather grief'n grind games.
Thread was six feet under, but I brought the shovel!!
