Well, I got the worst ending

And I'm not happy about that, after all the effort. My fourth and final character lasted half the game, got the panacea, and when the helicopter dude told me to run and not look back I took that as a message that I should just sprint my way through a chase sequence. Instead I ran into a horde of zombies in the water. Game over.

Ugh.

I kind of want to replay to wash the bad taste out of my mouth but I'm hesitant to repeat that end sequence.

I am right before it as well, and am scared to try, even though I miraculously made it my first time through on WiiU. My proudest gaming moment. I don't know if I could take failing the second time around XD

Well, I didn't make it either. I also became overwhelmed by Zombies in the water. And I was doing so well!!

Does anyone know if they just keep spawning, or if you can stand your ground and clear a path? That mob in the water, when you can't fight, seems really really unfair.

I can't quite remember well, but I think the game tries to rush you giveing you the notion that the helicopter will leave without you, but it wont. You can take your time and go carefully just like you do in other parts of the game.. the pressure is a illusion.

Did you run past or fight through them or pick them off before advancing?

Crap, I didn't make it this time. Feels bad man.

I had no healing items left, and clumsily set myself on fire on some burning piece of debris while evading Zombies.

The first time, I ran as fast as I could up the tower, and held them off as best I could on the roof. But it was a miracle I survived then, which made the ending so epic. I was panicing the whole way through.

This time I didn't even make it up the tower...

Guess I'll try again soon! :D

I only finished this game once and I got the good ending. I have a question.. if you fail, can you simply load the game and try again or the game saves automatically and you need to replay the whole game?

Had the worst ending too back in december 2012 on my first game, immediately started over to get the good ending. I had so much fun on this game back when it was first released.

I have to say I am surprised there isn't an achievement for surviving the epilogue.

I never ran at the end and survived just fine, a little dissapointing really because i killed all of the zombies slowly, so i only had like 4 zombies total in the top of the tower, i was expecting a big horde.

i just stocked up on 12 flares and threw one whenever a group got in my way, worked just fine for me.
