Keyboard/Mouse prompts....

Hi, There is no controller connected to my PC yet I'm getting X-Box controller prompts. I found the setting where I can change to what prompts I want, but it gives me either XB or PS. There is no way of enabling keyboard prompts in the options as far as I can tell. I have used a controller on my PC before, but it isn't connected now. Can't find it anywhere to disable in Device Manager, so does anyone know how I can get these controller prompts to disappear?!

I saw all the controller buttons your suppose to press, which I don't have on my PC, but, the biggest problem was my menus, they keep getting cycled though and it's hit or miss if I can even click on them. I haven't been able to even try it because I can't get the menus to stop cycling at 100x a second.

I use a wheel for driving so for the heck of it, I unplugged wheel to see if thmenu selection would work, it did. I think if a person has any controller connected other then the xpad type, it messes things up, so you have to unplug wheels, joysticks etc, from what I found. I was able to get into a game, it was ......cute. I'll play it some more but for now I'm not doing handstands because of it's greatness, the lack of any PC control promts is one of the biggest pitfalls I can see right now.

i have at least 4 different controllers plugged into my system. rudder pedals. the g113, my hotas and stick. im not unplugging them every time i want to play this ♥♥♥♥ game.

would be nice if ubisoft could put a disable controller option in the game, its very annoying having to remove gamepad ect.

Ok i found a fix for this, works for my 360 controller anyway

Download the zip file and extract all the files into your Zombi installed folder.

the game should now run with the keyboard prompts.

didnt work. am i just supposed to extract the four .dll's and the x360ce.ini into the steamapps/common/zombie folder?

After testing several scenareos in both Steam and Uplay versions of the game, this workaround fixes the issue every time:

1. You need to have an active controller/gamepad. Make sure is turned on before launching the game.
   
2. Run the game, gamepad prompt appears, use the gamepad.
   
3. Turn off the gamepad (disconnect USB or take out the batteries).
   
4. Press any keyboard keys and the keyboard prompt will appear.

(Must repeat the procedure every time the game is launched)
