How to move on the Uncharted Seas World Map?

As the title says... Is there a button I'm missing or something? I can draw a path from my boat to the next island, or anywhere really, but clicking the destination or anything else doesn't seem to do anything :/ I'm using a keyboard and mouse. Fullscreen 1920x1080, game runs great no crashes, just doesn't have any controls for me anymore -.-

Or how can I simply leave the world map? I'm stuck in my boat outside the tutorial island and I can't even enter back there... I'm actually mashing my entire keyboard now and it seems the only thing that works is that unwieldy escape menu. All it says is "select to travel" or some ♥♥♥♥ and there's no button or clickable place to enter. Very frustrating, I'm a very experienced PC gamer and I never have such problems.

Yeah, sea travel seems quite clunky. First left click the middle of the island and it should plot the course and encircle the island. Second left click on the circle to travel to that destination.

Seems this sort of clunkiness comes from the game being a mobile port.

Was loving the game so much until i reached that point. :(

Just clicking on the island seems to do nothing for me. I have to pull a line from the boat for the circle to appear. But even then, clicking all over the place in the circle does nothing. Once it worked but while i was on my way there, i clicked to see what the compass do, which brought me back to the open sea. And that was it, was trying for a while to make it work again, clicking like there is no tomorrow, no luck.

I even restarted just in case, since i was so close to the beginning anyway.

Ok after many tries i gave up. Tried changing resolutions etc, in case it affects something, changed my mouse sensivity, anything i could think off. Just doesn't work. Game seems completely broken at this point for me.


EDIT: Ok i lied about giving up. :P

After 200-300 more clicks, one worked and voila, i'm at the Tikerel island or whatever its name is. I know it will get on my nerves each time i go into the open sea, but at least i know it will. And everything looks so beautiful when it works..

soad how do you go down to open-sea view from world view? And how did you get it to work? Just keep spamming click on the circle? I'm stuck on that 'draw a course' ♥♥♥♥ and nothing is working once its drawn..

And Varjo, thank you, I can draw a path to the island as you describe, but clicking EVERYWHERE in, on, or around the circle once a course is set does nothing.

Devs, someone... I'm obviously not the first person to have this problem, what is the fix? Keep clicking and hoping? I'll be sitting at 3% Uncharted Seas "Select to Travel" screen, NOTHING GOES ANYWHERE!!!! Haven't had this kind of problem in like 350 steam games and a decade, bout to just thumbs down and submit refund.

Yeah, i was spamming the hell out of it, and one of them just worked. By the way, there wasn't much to do on that first island yet, besides talking and revealing new islands. So i went back to the open sea quite fast, where i marked one of the new islands and started the clickathon again. But i got bored and quit, since it went in stubborn mode again. Certainly not fun to do it this way.

Btw, my issue is exactly as you describe it in your posts.

That is very unfortunate... I have tried as you have, several hundred clicks in various places around the ring once a course is selected... This is not a viable option. Thanks for the info, I really hope a moderator reads this before I uninstall.

I recently played it and found no trouble whatsoever when travelling to other islands. I am playing with a controller, however.
Try selecting the island you want to go to twice. Also, it seems like you cannot control the boat on the island map, it sails automatically to the chosen destination.

Same here, impossible to travel to the second island.
Can the developer do something about it please?!?!

I really hope so, i lost some of my time trying to make it work today too, no luck. So i gave up for good.

Sad thing is some friends asked me what the game is about, looks very Zelda-ish, cute etc. Even if i wanted to say many good things about it, i couldn't since it just doesn't work.

Ness I can assure you me and soad have been "selecting twice" in the form of HUNDREDS Of tries to reclick a selected island. It is not a simple problem of confusing navigation, its broken. I'm gonna give it a try with a x360 controller before I uninstall. Thanks foryour input.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO PUSH TO LEAVE THE WORLD MAP? I'm just sitting here staring at the 'select to travel' screen. I've seen video up close of me in the boat, fishing and stuff. Ain't I supposed to be able to do that too? The only button on my entire keyboard that works is escape when in-game, and it only loads that unwieldy menu. And I guess the P button for pause too, yay.

Ok, seems to work fine with a controller. So i use it only when i need to set a location at the open sea and play the rest of the game with the keyboard/mouse. Yeah, i was born with a keyboard in hand, can't use anything else. :P

I have a wired and wireless controller but I'm the same way, pcmasterrace and all that. Glad to hear it worked for you, surprised we're apparently the only two people with completely broken keyboard+mouse system haha.. I'll controller try this weekend.

I don't have any controler, and as a result I still can't play a game I paid for! Is it too much asking that the developpers fix this issue?!
I am on my way to drop a very bad review, maybe this will trigger a reaction from them.
