Games like Oceanhorn
Hello guys.
I wanted to play a game that was similar to Zelda, but as unlikely as it seems, I don't really enjoy RPGs. But there's something different in Zelda, and I looked for that something in another games. I found that in Oceanhorn. I'm probably buying it's full version, but I wanted other suggestions for future occasions. I wanted good Games, with these "cartoon-style" graphics, and that would have this "Zelda thing". I don't know if it's the graphics, the gameplay, the simplicity, the soundtrack, or maybe the combination of them all, what Oceanhorn definitely brings. It's hard to explain what it is, but if you enjoy it, as I'm certain that you do, you know what I'm talking about. Here are some things I can notice in Zelda and Oceanhorn and definely got a hold on me:
- I love music, and really enjoyed the Soundtrack. That's something that will always have my attention.
- I really loved the controls of Oceanhorn and It's interface. Visual pollution really disturbs me, and the screen has a minimalist and well designed composition. The idea of an "action button", that does practically everything, dude, is genious.
- I also like the visual as a whole. I like the simple graphics, and the landscapes we can see by exploring the world.
That's all. Forgive me for any grammatical mistakes I could have made, I'm not fluent in English.

Well, if you like this type of Action-Adventure I can give you some suggestions of games I myself played. This obviously doesn't mean, that you will enjoy them. These style of games are sort of hit and miss.

- Evoland 1 + 2 (the first game was a bit dissapointing to me, but the second one was awesome. Evoland 2 is easily my Nr. 1 suggestion for you)
- Stories of Bethem: Full Moon
- Crossing Souls
- Beyond Oasis (part of the Sega Genesis-Collection)
- Landstalker (part of the Sega Genesis Collection)

If you're also playing on GoG and are a genuine retro-gamer you can take a look at:

- Al-Quadim: The Genies Curse
- Entomorph: Plague of the Darkfall

If you have a Playstation 1:

- Alundra
- Alundra 2
- TechnoMage (also on PC, but wasn`t released in every country)
- Overblood 2 (its clunky, ugly and sci-fi dystopia, but if you can handle this, it is absolutely awesome)
- Monkey Hero (only if you're desperate, it is a rather uninspired Zelda-rip-off)

And these are only the games I played. There are more on Steam like:

- Anodyne
- Blossom Tales

So as you can see, there are quite a lot of these games you can try out. Have fun.

Thank you very much for your help! I'll certainly take a look at them.

If you have access to old systems or emulators, there were a couple of Zelda-like clones called Neutopia on Turbo Graphix 16. Per wikipedia, it's also available on Wii Virtual Console or Playstation Store (not sure for which version of Playstation device though)

I hear "Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King" on Steam is a good Zelda-like game.
