I'm throwing that in the probably never category. The licensing rights are just too much
Probably not
Why are you so horny to pay money for this game? Just use the high sea

why the hell did they even bother putting the store page back up if they never plan on paying for the license

Far as I know steam doesn't take the store page down, they just set it so that it won't appear on searches nor in the store navigation in general. So you can still get everywhere if you've bought the game and such but you won't get there searching the store normally.

And yeah sadly any game that has 3rd party licenced content is likely to vanish and never reappear.

Film-tie-in games are notorious for this. It's why we will never likely see Battle for Middle Earth games appear. It's also why a LOT of sports games end after a year or two and vanish into the ether.
You get the same thing with some music too - GTA is a great example where one or two games have had large amounts of music removed once the licence expired. Sometimes you do get lucky like that and the game just gets some content removed; other times the whole game vanishes.

It's very rare for the old titles to get re-released because the licence costs a lot and the old game is unlikely to generate revenue to cover it. So there's no interest by either firm to chase it. You "might" get lucky IF the same parent firm licences a new game and manages to use the new licence to tack on enough permissions to re-release the older titles.

This is true for 99% of games but all the transformers games had their store pages completely deleted, it was only recently they let you look at this games page again

try to find FOC or WFC or ROTDS you wont be able to they completely removed it

Strange, I wonder if that's something the company did on their own rather than something steam did.

possible
microsoft bought the copyright holders
was rumors they lost the source code for the transformers games
they said that was incorrect
good chance they may return

when you start talking source code it means there is possible stuff going on

either pirate it or make friends with someone who does have it that'll let u into their steam family
good luck spending $200+ on 3rd party website seller if you're desperate to play this game :p
problem is Activision has the license and Hasbro wants it back. Onky due to the many mergers of Activision the lost the hard drives.
