Turn off Nvidia overlay if you have geforce experience installed, made it work for me.

Any other ideas? Tried a few things already and no success making this game run :/

I recently installed this game on Windows 11 Pro and it works fine for me. You might need to install some other game first to get a certain dll or sdk installed. I had that happen with Hades under SteamOS. It wouldn't run until I ran a different game (Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, I think) first.

I fixed it by going to the NVIDIA Control Panel, then "Manage 3D Settings". Then I clicked on the "Program Settings" tab and pressed add, and selected the TransformerDevastation.exe that was in the steamapps folder.

Then for option 2 lower on the page, where it says "Select the preferred graphics processor for this program", it was by default (for some reason) set to integrated graphics. So I changed it to the other option, which was for me "High Performance NVIDIA Graphics"

This fixed it for me on my Laptop. Never seen this issue before. Have no clue if this will work on Desktops, but I'd try it anyway.
