Transformers Devastation has been "banned" from Steam

So as you all know this game was removed from Steam a couple of days ago along with all other Transformers games. But that's not all as it appears the game has been "banned" and had its api removed. That means if you bought the game it can't be seen on your profile, count hours and track achievements.

I contacted Steam support about it and this is what they had to say it:

We recently updated the status of some games that have been removed from the Steam community. You are still free to access them in your Library, unfortunately they will no longer be included in game counts, or in any other parts of the community.

Additionally, we are unable to add the TRANSFORMERS: Devastation back on your profile. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Please let me know if I can help clarify anything else.

Now how could this possibly be intentional? From what I can tell Valve is in good terms with both Activision and Platinum Games so why would Transformers Devastation need to be completely removed from Steam(except from people's library). I contacted Steam again and asked then to reconsider and possibly fix this as I believe this is some kind of mistake.

i know very well what happens. The customer, which is us, gets not respect whatsoever. In no small part because games have traditionally been rapid fanboys and stupid teenagers without a clue on what their rights/responsibilities as a customer are. Well that and the more general erosion of customer rights in the whole software industry to the benefit of the corporations.

Still doesn't change the fact that we are the customers. Just makes the way we are treated with impunity by people that should depend on our goodwill, that much sadder.

All of us on this forum are happy to part with our dollars for a good game without the unexpected surprise of it disappearing from the Steam store along with acheivements and stats. And for the record, don't think Steam can't make a game completely dissapear from your library altogether, that's exactly what happened to Square Enix's "Order of War: Challenge".

so was the game order of war even removed from being redownloadable too cause lots of games get removed but theyre still downloadable

when the hell did this happen just last year cause when valve delists a game from steam u can redownlaod it but i guess square enix wanted them to fully remove this game from the entire store wow that totally sucks dude also i hate online only games which is what i stay away from cause once the stupid devs give up on it the game is ♥♥♥♥ out of luck once the server dies

No more Activision games for me, and even if they trash their brand into ablivion by treating their customers like dirt, they can rebrand or whatever but I'm keeping away from any Activision related titles like they are the plague.

Well brace yourself, because there's talk of the next generation consoles having no removable media. If this happens it will be a gaming experience under a complete dictatorship. And of course the actual game developers get the shortest straw while the publishers (who aren't even gamers, just corporate goons) reap the rewards.

i dont think that physical media is going away anytime soon cause game consoles like the xbox one x and ps4 pro are the cheapest bluray players minus the bluray app that u have to download but i hope to god that the discs dont go away anytime soon not in my life time that is cause theyve been around since the 90s which the disc medium isnt that old hell they still make records and cassets for music purchasing they still even make cds for music so i dont think that physical media for music movies and games are going away anytime soon. if sony tries to remove the disc drive from the ps5 theyre gonna get a hell of alot of hate for doing that like how microsoft got hate for trying to remove the disc drive on the xbox one console and theres still people out there who enjoy physical games about half of the gaming community still love physical games mostly console gamers do pc gamers thats a totally different story

i dont see devistation its been fully removed from steam even i own the game and its been removed from my profile but at least i can redownload the game which is nice but now it only shows 59 games but i have 61 games the tmnt game that activision made and devistation too
