Transformers Devastation has been "banned" from Steam

So as you all know this game was removed from Steam a couple of days ago along with all other Transformers games. But that's not all as it appears the game has been "banned" and had its api removed. That means if you bought the game it can't be seen on your profile, count hours and track achievements.

I contacted Steam support about it and this is what they had to say it:

We recently updated the status of some games that have been removed from the Steam community. You are still free to access them in your Library, unfortunately they will no longer be included in game counts, or in any other parts of the community.

Additionally, we are unable to add the TRANSFORMERS: Devastation back on your profile. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Please let me know if I can help clarify anything else.

Now how could this possibly be intentional? From what I can tell Valve is in good terms with both Activision and Platinum Games so why would Transformers Devastation need to be completely removed from Steam(except from people's library). I contacted Steam again and asked then to reconsider and possibly fix this as I believe this is some kind of mistake.

well hasbro should reupload the games under their names since they own the titles in general that would make things much easier on everyone and take activision out of it since they never owned it to begin with

It's not about "being seen to play the game" it's about features being removed. Steam is a social gaming platform if you don't care about any of its features why do you even use it? Why not just pirate everything and be done with it?

no, steam is not just a social gaming platform. it's a storefront and also a form of DRM. the social aspects are really just an afterthought (especially considering the coding in it is equal to web forums circa 1998... terribly outdated and lacking of standard features in this day and age)

as for why i use it:

steam is the world's largest pc gaming webstore.
i was forced to make an account ages ago to play half life 2
over than many years i have had this account, i've ammassed a large collection of games

as to why i dont just pirate:

i do not steal my entertainment. in my moral code, stealing is only permissable for survival. entertainment is not neccessary for survival.
social features are not so much of a draw to me (especially in a singleplayer only game) that i would steal the game, rather than pay for it, without those features.
pirating over a prolonged period of time increases the chance that i'll download a trojan or hit a honeypot. i'd rather not reformat my computer. i'd also rather not have publishing giants complaining to my ISP.

u do realize how bad drm is getting right now right i dont buy very many pc games now because they use denuvo and not steams drm cause im ok with steam drm and im not ok with denuvo drm and it pisses me off that alot of game publishers want to make their own store front instead of using steam and its very annoying which is why i still game on my consoles and not full pc gaming

Letting people have something for free that they wasted time and money on, yeah that will never happen with Activision.

They don't own someone else's game just because they own the rights to the characters, that's not how it works...

Well actually, Steam's activision partnership contract expired a very long time ago in the 2019 year. The TRANSFORMERS games in relation with activision (WFC, TFoC, and DEVASTATION) have been removed from the steam store and community due to said contract expiration.
