Grouped Unit Movement
I have another suggestion and thought I'd run it by the community.

In some strategy games if you group a variety of units that move at different speeds and move them then they will all move at the pace of the slowest. On others, such as Seven Kingdoms 2, they all move at their fastest speed.

I believe it should be changed to the former, and here are my reasons:

I don't know about anyone else, but I love getting me a pet fryhtan from a horn as a human kingdom. I make it an honourary member of whatever fort has a space free. But if I send that regiment off against a distant target the the fryhtan naturally zooms ahead meaning that I either have to let him run off and die or micromanage his movement. The same problem occurs when you're moving infantry and cavalry together.

The biggest reason to change the way movement works, however, is that is cripples the AI. You can see this very clearly if you have the Japanese seat of power which allows you to see coming enemy attacks.
The AI sends its units at you, but because it does not have the intelligence to micromanage like a human does, its fastest units such as cavalry arrive at your base first and inevitably get slaughtered. The rest of their force gets there much later.

To me it seems like a no brainer that if you're moving a mass of troops as one, then you want them to stick together and move at the speed of the slowest unit. If you wanted the fastest units to run off ahead for whatever reason, you should just select them seperately. Why would you ever want a fort's worth of troops to split up in a war?

That's my argument.

I would like to see this as well, something reminiscent of Age of Empires. Units adapting to a certain speed.
