Seven Kingdoms 2 HD: Black screen game doenst start, hard reset required

Hi,

I just installed Seven Kingdoms 2 HD but at start of the game i get a black screen, the game doesn't start and i have to hard reset my laptop. I am using Win 8.1 on an acer E5-521-84TV laptop.

1. Install DirectX[www.microsoft.com]
   
2. Install Visual C++ Redistributables[www.microsoft.com]
   
3. Update your GPU drivers.

I installed direct X. Installed version is now: 11
Visual C++ Redist, installed was newer, so i installed nothing
AMD Autodetect said: Your system already has the latest driver installed

Black screen is still there...

ow...i didnt see the notice on the beta release, but i did contact the support of 7k2hd and send them my dxdiag file.

Ill try the beta.

A response from the support team @ enlight:

"I would suggest that you run the game in windowed mode and see if it resolves the problem.

To switch to the windowed mode, you can click on the resolution display (e.g. “1920x1080”) on the bottom of the main menu to access the display setting menu.

I didnt do exactly as they said. I searched on google and found this:

and i used this command in the launch settings of the game:

-windowed or -sw - Forces the engine to start in windowed mode.


lo and behold...it works!!!
