So you are saying that a dumbed down game is better?
My only complaints are that I wish a few more of the bugs were sorted out, that there was a bigger community of people interested in multiplayer and that the multiplayer wasn't hosted through an external app.
I honestly can't remember which I liked best... mainly because I was very young back then :p
But I definately played a lot of 7K2 (First one seems familiar too but perhaps I can't remember it very well because I was like 11-12 yrs back then) 7K2 I had been playing on-and-off between the ages of 14-18. Dunno, it's always interesting again after a while :) Sure do feel like buying this now even though it's so ovepriced lol
But uhm, afaik Seven Kingdoms became open source around 2010. So I don't think you'll be seeing an official re-release of 7K1. Might be worth looking into how fans have been expanding it in the last 6 years though ;) https://7kfans.com/
Shamefuly though, GOG actually charges people €6 for it
From what do you get the idea that Seven Kingdoms 2 is dumbed down? I get the feeling that you don't know what you are talking about.
I like the first game the most as well but that is because of the atmosphere and music. The atmosphere is very good in Seven Kingdoms 2 as well, and the game mechanics have certainly not been dumbed down. Both are great games, quite similar, but different enough to both be worthwhile for a someone who likes the games.
When it comes to game mechanics this game lacks a few things compared to the original and a bit more new things have been added. The differences are not that great though.
The reason I choose one over the other is because of atmosphere and music. Both games have great atmosphere but they are different. Seven Kingdoms 1 have the best music and that is probably the reason I like it the most.
