Low render distance/heavy fog

Played this game back on the ps2. Never seen fog like this before. Ingame options don't help. Running in XP sp3 compatiblity mode and admin mode does not help either.

There any way to fix this in the game files?

I think it's too late for you.. But it's impossible to increase render distance on PC version. You can download PS2 Emulator and play PS2 version. Sorry, no other way.
