ok fixed it, go to the folder that Venetica is installed to then to /bin and /release folders find the "venectica.exe" put compatability to windows 7 and click on run as admin,. works fine now =)
Instead of Windows 7 I chose Windows XP (Service Pack 3) - and now the game continues to work :D
I would like to add when you get to venetica.exe file Right click it and choose Properties, there you can check the compatability option!
I crashed there also and applied this fix....presto PLAY ON!!!! thanks :)

Just want to ADD that the crash when speaking to LEON in venice is a bug the Devs have recognized but NOT fixed yet. SO if you see Leon in the Guild Hall youve chosen SAVE before speaking to him.............................!
