A really strange bug ?

This is really weird - my screen went black ( outside the first village - by the roadsign to Venice - , and my monitor "went to sleep" !
I could still hear sound, and obviously Scarlett was being killed , but this froze my whole system.
I had to restart my PC, - and when I tried to play this game again, the same thing happened.
Tried restarting my PC several times - and same again , I could not even arrive to the start-game screen.
So I reinstalled it. Yess, worked just fine for a couple of hours - then the same thing happened again !
Anyone else who had this experience ? And know a solution ?
I know this game has some bugs, but I had still hoped to be able to play it - I actually love it !
So please ?

Try this FIX for crashing! It worked awesome for me.... Pasting this from earlier post since Admin wont Pin the fix to head of the forum!!!!!!!!!!

Instead of Windows 7 I chose Windows XP (Service Pack 3) - and now the game continues to work :D

I would like to add when you get to venetica.exe file Right click it and choose Properties, there you can check the compatability option!

I crashed there also and applied this fix....presto PLAY ON!!!! thanks :)

Just want to ADD that the crash when speaking to LEON in venice is a bug the Devs have recognized but NOT fixed yet. SO if you see Leon in the Guild Hall youve chosen SAVE before speaking to him.............................!
