Hector is not smashing the pillars

i'm at the second boss and i can't defeat him cause the pillars aren't coming down

You need to break that urn with his parents' ashes. He'll get mad and will change his attack into a ground smashing one.
If you did that and its not working then it's a bug.

I had the same problem. I fought him, he smashed the pillars, but later in the fight I died.
I respawned and then, no matter how long he and I tried, the pillars didn't break. I reloaded, no luck. Reloaded again, but it just didn't work.

So I logged out. When I logged in again it worked fine. So perhaps when you log in again the problem will be gone.

Stand right beside the pillar, and as soon as he starts his swing move around it and his swing will come down on the pillar, takes 2 or 3 hits.

I have found that in Hector's quest and the previous one on one with a major opponent that you have to quict the game and restart and then you can proceed. Seems to be a bug in the game.

I had no problem proceeding with any of the Boss fights in the game.

In respect of Hector, mork yorg*n is right - you need to smash the urns first. Once you've done that Hector becomes enraged and if you hide behind a pillar, then dodge his hammer, he'll smash it to smithereens.
