Any Happy Endings?
Hello fellow otome gamers~ :fuka: I'm really eager to buy this game. BUT. Before I do, they are few things I want to know. Or be sure of, anyway.

I heard this game is a rollarcoaster of emotions. That it can get dark. What I want to know is that since there's hardships, are there at least happy endings? Or special stories etc. with lighter story lines to make me feel better if the route(s) leave a bad aftertaste in my mouth?

Another thing. The "dark" part. Is it how dark that I might be utterly uncomfortable with the game after that? Psychological horror is a bit too much for me. If I remember correctly, the rating is 14+, so I assume it's not horribly graphic?

Even though I asked all of this, please, no spoilers. I don't want to know any major plots. I already know about Tei being a yandere and I kind of wish I didn't...

Oh, one more thing. What kind of romance system does this game have?

There are happy endings, but due to the way the game's plot plays out, they will seem a little confusing until the very end. I don't feel this takes anything away from them, though.

Psychological horror... for me the game was fine. The ending worked out. There is basically one good ending for each route. Two of the routes are locked until you acquire enough good ends. Then after they're all done you will see the end. (there are some good easter eggs to find, so you may want to look into those after you finish up!) Some of the routes have some heavy stuff occurring either socially or psychologically, but it gets tied up and fixed by the end. Some of the bad ends can be depressing, and only solved by replaying. Some are hard to get and others you can just fall into. There's a guide that will help if you don't want to experience them. Not all the bad ends are horrible, though, some are fun, and some explain the plot further. If you want me to elaborate or tell you yes if something happens like violence, sexual content, character death, or any other particular peeve, I will.

You have infinite save slots, but probably won't need to use them. I usually just kept one for the current route, but you can technically play all available routes at once. The guide, if you chose to look at it, gives where to save to make it easiest to go back and get all bad endings. You make choices and the game takes them into account. Some single choices are enough to bad end, and sometimes the overall attitude (ie a bunch of smaller choices) also lead to a bad end. But there are only a few to each route, you won't be tripping over them. There's no stats to obtain, and no visible affection meter. There are a lot of choices that give some alternate dialogue or skip scenes but otherwise don't really do anything, which is a lot of fun. After the end you'll have a "storybook" so you can replay the route without having to load a save file again, and a collection of cgs to look at. There's a sort of "quiz" in the middle of the routes that can earn you little booklets to read in the extras, and another minigame, but it's 99.9% just choices.

Thank you so much! This was really helpful to me. :D

If the happy endings are indeed "happy" endings, it's enough for me. I'd hate if I played the good end and I still wouldn't be satisfied with the MC and her chosen character's relationship.

I just... I don't want the game to be so dark that I'll feel horribly after the game. Like I'm doing normal stuff, but the game depresses me or even makes me really uneasy. That's what I meant by psychological horror... But I guess good ends make up for it, heh? :3

... I wonder how I'm supposed to know that I'm heading towards a good ending? I mean, in one game, I either died if I chose wrong or the choice didn't matter on the long run. In this game, it seems like I would have to choose few times "wrong" to get a bad ending... Or even a good ending. ^^;

But thank you! I'm still eager to buy this game. I feel like I've been properly warned so I can be prepared for it. :)

I normally HATE yanderes, but Tei is genuinely an exception, he's not just "obsessed" for no reason, he doesn't hate but also love the main character like most yanderes are written to, there are actual reasons behind why his character is the way it is. You'd have to play it for yourself to see what I mean, but I'm serious about how much better Tei is compared to most yanderes.

I agree, Tei is an exception. Now that I have finished the game, I can definitely say that. xD
