What's the plot?

I just watched a playthrough of this and I have no idea what the plot to the story is or what even happened. Is there a summary of the plot available online so I can understand what I missed?

Thanks for the reply! I played the first release and kind of understood the plot but I feel like there were a lot of gaps in the story that I missed for some reason. In Deadline are you the same person as the first game and if so, why did you return? Also, the ending (which I won't spoil) came out of nowhere and I definitely missed some story that would have explained it.

On a different note, is there a way to read the newspapers that were in this game? I quite enjoyed them and would like to read them in more detail but I don't own this game yet (no money) and cannot extract them or screenshot them.
