Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris

Strategy......
Anyone have any tips on how to beat Poland in campaign mode? It seems really tough to beat them..... They made it look so easy in history lol. Anyway, my AGN always bogs down in the swamps and rivers around Warsaw. My AGS seems to make good progress but it seems like there just isnt enough time to cover all that ground. My last strategy was to surround and cut off Warsaw and win by getting all the other important cities but my extra days card didnt work so I still lost. Please if anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong Id be very appreciative.

The biggest thing is not to fight people head on- go around the enemy whenever possible. Don't ever take on an enemy unit in a city without encircling them first.

As for the Marsh north of Warsaw, go generally east and try to pocket Warsaw. Try to make units from AGS meet up with units from Prussia. Generally, my campaigns end with a victory with a giant pocket in Warsaw.

Having had this game for a hold for two years I started up again and playes the single Poland scenario with the A.I from Decisive Barbarossa game. So far I am in the middle and don´t know if I will make it but I did several times when playing against the standard A.I. However, my plan now is to use all panzers and motorized regiments to avoid head on fights and try to make it as far as possible through and around the enemy lines, trying to create huge encirclements - withouth being encircled and cut off themselves - and trying to meet up with the other armies attacking from south and north.

So I just finished and won Poland scenario the 17th of September with Fog of War. I used all my motorize troops to go around the enemy and had my main force taking Warsaw from west and southwest. The north army groups almost made no progress at all and the south was too far away to reach Warzaw. I had huge enemy forces encircled but only let my slow moving infantry take care of them while the Panzers sliced through enemy territory. I was lucky that I could reach Warzaw from 10 hex away with one Panzer unit and it was undefended. The A.I had yet to fall back to build new defensive lines in Warszaw so I was lucky to just rush in and take the capital. Since that was enough to get my 50 vp the A.I could do nothing to remedy this.
