Edit: I am new player so I am not familiar with base game and DLC.
Edit 2: Now I got it fixed. I needed to have base game installed first then DLC before I can click bat file.
The steam versions of TRoT/AFdZ + PS/PG are the latest that will ever be.
Also the OP's link is to a website that also includes an old savegame editor.
Which won't run without jardas website, unfortunately he removed everything in late 2014.
One is for the old version of TRoT and won't work with Steam's patched version or Win10.
The other called "jardas" or "1.5" no longer works because Jardas removed a lot of stuff from his website including all the TRoT files that his editor refers to.
Perhaps it's possible to edit the source code since he published the source to Github about 1 year before removing the needed files from his website.
But if your determined to edit manually there is a way.
To edit TRoT savegames just use DB Browser for SQLite
(it's the program that all TRoT savegame editors use btw, just no fancy gui added on top.)
Visit the website, sqlitebrowser.org
Pick what works for your OS and install
Remember after making changes in SQLite Browser to: Apply > File > Write Changes > Exit
PS. Not everything's in English, there's a lot of German in the Drakensang files.
ie. Tinder Fungus = Zunderschwamm, and Throwing = TaWurfwaffen, etc. etc.
Not sure how much farther indepth steam would allow discussions of how to actually edit.
PS2. History Recap: The developers went bankrupt shortly after publishing TRoT but had been fighting it for awhile. The company that purchased the Drakensang name, uses the name only with their Online Variant and does absolutely nothing to help people who played the older versions like TRoT. The publishers kept passing the buck and reselling etc, it appears Sega has it atm and thier website offers absolutely no support for this game. Therefore TRoT has no support and it seems only Steam is still interested in selling copies (thankfully).
