Drakensang The River of Time

The River of Time performance question
Anyone else having very poor framerate in the game? I have a Nvidia GTX 770 GPU and my game is sometimes painfully jerky and slow. My PC should run this game without problems. I also have problems with other older games, my friends GPU runs games much better than mine and he has an older card.

On an old laptop with Dual Core 1.8Ghz + nVidia 9600GT runs always smoothly. Definitely something broken in GPU<->driver communication IMHO.

i5 4690K@4,2 Hz and 2x GTX 970 in sli... alot of fps drops when i get to the first city.. it frustrated me alot so i uninstalled the game. Seriously this game is TECHNICALLY underperforming.

Yep, unfortunately no updates have ever been released to fix this issue and the result is that an old 3D engine (Nebula Device: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radon_Labs ) that could run up to 200fps runs just at 24-34 in many locations... sigh...
It was the same on my previous gfx cards: AMD 5870m, AMD 7970m, and now on my ASUS G751JY with GTX 980m capable to run The Witcher 3 at Ultra settings in FHD at 60fps.

What a pity, this RPG serie is great (and gfx still nice) but an uncapped/fixed exe should be released to make it justice.

I've also found a GitHub page for this game engine: https://github.com/xoyojank/nebula3

Windows 10 14393.447 + latest drivers fixed the issue. Now runs well close to 60fps all the time.

@Lord Gerrod: If that "six" core CPU is an AMD, than saying it's running at 4.3 GHz is like saying that your revving the engine on your VW Rabbit. Clock speed isn't everything, and AMD, for the last 10 years, has been know for it's abysmal per core performance.

On that note, this game runs smooth as silk with my nVidia 570 and i7-E Ivy.

But... anyone knows how to enable vsync? I have 100+ fps, and 60Hz IPS monitor. A problem

What's your spec? How can you run it at 100fps? In Nadoret square drops to <60fps

NVIDIA Control panel can be used to switch on Vsync even in games which don't have a setting for it. Other manufacturers probably have similar programs.
