I'm confused about the Fred thing, though. You already have to kill all eight other Freds in order to ally yourself with the last one? And you already have bonuses for allying yourself with any given one, like Tumor Fred giving you grenades or Bright Fred healing you for more. Hell, Real Fred is the one that you can actually miss the bonus, since right now his triggers are bugged; if you give him his face before killing the others, he just doesn't offer his service. (EDIT: Wait, I miscounted. There're ten Freds, my bad.)
All in all, this is a horror game. I don't mind some things not having a happy ending. There should be horrible things in a horror game; it's kind of in the name, y'know?
It just feels forced in a bad way
but it could be fun if they show restraint, Antoine is passive and is, well, probably a total anime freak and it would be fun to make it still an potential enemy, if you need to be very careful in dialogue options to not upset him, even in the slightest way like "Oh yeah I'm not a fan of mangas" makes him angry and attack you.
Maybe if you have the Very Rare game card, Antoine could "Smell" it and beg to have it, and you could convice them to play it with you at home and that way you recruit them.
