Is it worth trading Tickle blood for the rewards? Health items aren't cheap!

blood ring is amazing at restoring health outside of combat (restore HP while walking)
Blood helmet and blood vest (can't remember the exact names) have huge stat buff at the cost of losing hp (offset by the bloodring)

The blood ring reduces your stats but it's counterbalanced by the blood vest
If you equip blood ring + blood helm u get less stats (still a lot) and retain some health regen

Now if u wanna farm it real quick, it seems he gives 1 "friend" point for every 40-50 health absorbed so you can try:
- giving bandages (since they restore in %) to the character with the highest health value and have the tick suck them dry
- get to 10 friend point, take the ring and walk around to refill your health and have the tick suck them off again at max health (can repeat ad nauseam but it's pretty boring)

Blood knifes look good on paper but their damage is really low and don't heal for the full damage dealth (looks to be around 20% damage dealt) and they can break, altough u can buy them multiple times (maybe infinite?)

Blood Ring is perhaps the best item due to it's passive health regen. It also generates free Friendship points which you are able to purchase more items.

Pair it with the Rat King's crown with the ring, and you can use the "Vomit" attack for free despite the price of 30 HP. Providing you a powerful acid damage attack. (I put it on Sam and Papineau due to their high health pools.)

Unequipping it will reduce your health to 1 however, so be cautious when you do so.
