Long Weekend Achievement+. SPOILERS!
- Things not to do;
Shower, Make meals, Make friends, Play games, Sleep. This is specifically to get the achievements linked to these actions and doesn't affect the Long Weekend achievement.

Achievements:
- Long Weekend
- Ascetic
- Loner
- Gamer's Bane
- Miasma
- Insomnia
- Failure

- If you return home between the hours 22:00-04:00 you will be unable to leave, Play games or use your Laptop. To pass time you can; Cook, Eat and Craft items (each passing 15 minutes). Play Crosswords if you have them (passes 1,2,3 or 4 hours) or Sleep.

- Things to do;
Evade enemies, Save scum often (you will definitely die at some point), Loot as necessary, Run from fights.

- Start on Easy

[F3] - Leave your apartment > Follow blood trail > Equip Baseball Bat > Defeat Wounded Neighbour > Get padlock key > Exit apartment and Enter Vincents apartment opposite > Get Guinea Pig from the room on the left > Exit apartment and follow the hallway all the way right > Open the Stairwell.

[F2] - Follow the hallway left > Get the Apartment key 21 > Run from Grinner > Enter apartment 21 > Get Photo paper from Lyle > go through bathroom (top left) and follow it down the stairs.

[F1] - Exit the dripping pipe room then go, Right, Down, Down, Right (bottom door) to reach > Rat room: Get Child Barrier Key from room on right > Get Baby Rat from bottom room > Exit and go, Right, Right, Right, Past the goop to Room 13, Sacrifice Rat baby > Get Earth Disk > Exit and go, Left, Down, Down, Right, Past the moss to Room 11 > Get Mars Disk (evade/escape Rat Freak). Exit and go, Right, Up, Up, Right > Open padlock door.

[GF] - Go left and Trigger the Bus Crash >

Landlords door opening:
To trigger the door to open you must pass the game time by 2.5 hours. The fastest way to do this is by visiting every room in the ground floor. For every room you enter that raises your danger meter a certain amount of time will pass, this is different depending on which room it is. You must also enter the room blocked by flesh roots (Herbicide) and visit the basement stairwell room. 9 rooms in total for the door to open. Fighting enemies will also pass time, again, different amounts depending on the fight.

[GF] - Enter the Landlords apartment > Conclude the fight > Enter and Exit the bathroom (top right door) > Walk down and up to spawn the top door > Pay $50 and enter > Go up > Pay $100 and enter > Go up > Pay $200 and enter > Then enter the door immediately to your left around the wall > Follow the hallway all the way left and exit (top door) > Go right (door) > Follow hallway right and exit (door) > Take Basement Key > Retrace steps and exit the area.

[B1] - Go south and enter the Sewers > Follow the path in a South/East heading > Drop down the waterfall, Go right, Activate the lever > Run left from Boiler Beast > Run Left, Left again > Drop down waterfall > Go Left, Left, Dodge Hockey monster > Drop down Waterfall > Go Up, Left (Door), Up, Up (Door) > Reach the Rest area.

- From the Rest area go through North door > Go Left through Carpark > Keep to the right walls to avoid all vehicles > Reach Elevator > Kill Elevator Thing.

[Elevator F2] - Enter apartment > Take Crumpled Manuscript from desk > Take Clean Manuscript from top right room.

[Elevator GF] - Enter bottom door > Follow through > Go to Jasper and give him; Guinea Pig, Photo paper, Clean Manuscript and Crumpled Manuscript.

[Roof] - Finish story.

The above method is absolutely doable using the evade and escape technique alongside Save scumming. It is probably the fastest way to complete it. Also during fights you will begin to completely miss attacks several turns in a row due to your well-being declining.

However, my personal preference, and to make the run easier, Is to loot absolutely everything that isn't too far away from your main path and make sure to pick up key power items. As well as defeating easy enemies for the level exp. as this increases your max HP. Check all bins as these can contain Herbicide.

[Key Items to take note of:]
[F3]
Wounded Neighbour apartment:
- Knife (on neighbours body)
- Simple Key (right room)
Vincents Apartment:
- Glasses (left room)

[F2]
Apartment 20:
- Cleaver
Grinner Trade: (Defeat with Cleaver).
- Sledgehammer
- Bandages x4
- Tonic
Hallway:
- Pistol (on floor)

[F1]
Eye Room:
- Simple key
Baby Rat Room:
- Trench Coat
- Grandma's Urn
Paint Room:
- Machete
- Hunting Shotgun (God Fred)
Astronomer Room:
- Molotov
Rat King:
- Rusty Crown
- Giant Rat Skull (rare)

Killing the Rat King:
Equip; Sledgehammer, Trench Coat and Glasses.
Save game as you hear him coming.
Take Anxiety meds before the fight.
- Throw Grandma's Urn (Blind)
- Throw Molotov (Burn)
- Spam Reckless Attacks.
Reload save as necessary, you have to get lucky with him missing attacks. The Hunting Shotgun is good damage but in my experience misses a lot and runs out of ammo before you can defeat him.

Rat Shop: (Dripping pipe room)
- Sewage Blade
- Grenade
- Elixer
Rat Freak:
- Rat Claws
- Sewage Sword (rare) @Eunha
Flesh blocked Room: (Herbicide)
- Shotgun

[F2]
Apartment 20 revisit:
Kill Hydra Centre.
- Motorcycle Helmet
- Studded Jacket
- Vintage Sneakers

After that, you're pretty much set up for the run.

[F2] - Get key 21 > Run from Grinner > Get Photo paper from Lyle > go through bathroom and down the stairs.

[F1] - Exit the dripping pipe room then go, Right, Right, to reach the Painting area (door with grate outside) > Talk to Face Stealer Fred > Kill Fridge Fred, Get Turpentine from Face Stealer Fred, Kill Healing Fred and Bathroom Fred (Turpentine) in the rooms on the right side > Get Canvas Carry Bag from Face Stealer Fred > Get any painting.

[F1] - Exit Paint room and go, Left, Down, Down, Right (bottom door) > Rat room: Get Child Barrier Key from room on right > Get baby rat > Exit and go, Right, Right, Right, Past the goop to Room 13, Make a sacrifice > Get Earth Disk > Exit and go, Left, Down, Down, Right> Enter room 11 > Get Mars Disk (evade/escape Rat Freak). Exit and go, Right, Up, Up, Right > Open padlock door.

[F3] - Go to Vincents apartment > Get Guinea Pig > Print the Earth Disk on projector to photo paper.

[F2] - Give Photo paper back to Lyle to develop.

[GF] - Explore all area to trigger Landlords door opening (unsure of actual trigger) > Enter Landlords > Get Basement Key.

[Basement] - Make way through Sewers and Carpark > Activate Elevator.

[Elevator F2] - Grab Crumpled Manuscript.

[F2] - Go back to Lyle for developed picture.

[Basement] - Go to Jasper and give him; Guinea Pig, Photo, Painting and Manuscript.

[Roof] - Finish story.

Personally I killed the Grinner, Purchased a Sledgehammer and used Reckless Attacks to smash the Rat King to lumps. You can also kill most things for their EXP, and explore the side areas for items etc, it will make the run longer though and potentially run over 3 days if you explore excessively. It's quicker to save scum, run and hide. Hope this helps.

can do fast ending with wrong painting, 2 wrong manuscript, and guinea pig. so doesn't need to waste time with photograph.

for basement key, it spawn near me after pay the last rent and proceed. dunno if it bug or not

i think kill grinner can make friend count up to +1 (maybe i was wrong), since i try to kick all teammate and the end still count 1 friend

but for sure feel great after 100% it. haha
Instead of the manuscript, you can get the store key from the second mushroom area, go grab the blank videotape and then turn that in, which MIGHT be faster than repairing the elevator but is also significantly safer than having to go through the car park. Also, is there a reason to not go back to your apartment? As I understand it, time only passes when visiting NEW areas, so it's basically just free EXP and morale you're missing out on.

returning to your apartment when it is late prevents you from leaving, and then you waste time sleeping

The shotgun on 1F is also really good for double point blank shot (and there's a free herbicide conveniently at the ground floor).

Jeanne's apartment can give the studded jacket, vintage sneakers, and motorcycle helmet if you just kill the body. That gives some great stats for a solo run.

Night falls at 10pm and you can't leave your apartment until early morning at 4am if you go back during that time. You can craft to progress time. I think the crosswords can be done too if you took them from Lyle's apartment. You only need to return home if you're on normal or want to craft stuff (I personally found the Landlord's Apartment pretty dangerous while solo although most fights can be avoided and if not double point blank shot will take down a Man At Arms or other critter in one attack).

Guinea Pig + Photo Paper are easy to turn-in, so either go for the elevator for the two wrong manuscripts or get the store key (which is close enough to the elevator to not really be worth it on its) for the blank VHS and a wrong painting.

I don't recommend trying Perfect Ritual with these conditions as Chaos Quartet will very likely paralyze you and kill you before you can recover. The Mycelium Cloak from Spore Mother is supposed to prevent paralysis but it doesn't work currently.
For the eyeball / padlock guy it always take 3 attacks - 3 normal attacks will do, no need to waste specials.
Grinner doesn't count as a friend if you defeat and trade with her. It only counts if you let her join.

Nice to know you can use 2 Manuscript though :).

I just threw this together last night whilst doing my run, thought it might be helpful.

of course its so helpful, its a good guide.

yeah for grinner its still count even after i kick him out haha (maybe i was wrong if roach was counting at party member even though they still a roach)

oh yeah. game collection achievement involve too much rng, one of my save doesn't get gamer merchant at all till the end.. i try to reload a lot too while enable console to see what i got for door knocking event, and sometime the merchant at f2 floor doesn't sale the game too till the end.

you can kill the main body (resulting in Jeanne died) or kill all the part so Jeanne can survive and still giving out the item

for better solo weapon early, use the sewage sword from the giant rat in mars disk room at f1 floor (need to reload a lot to get) and swap with chainsaw later, but for sure best weapon for bossing still shotgun point blank shoot (can do 200+ damage x2).

in normal run, i just use gas bomb to roach since we need to wait for one hour, so i can save if needed.
Hedrack Mar 30 @ 7:24am
Sure, but in a solo run it's much easier to kill Jeanne's body to get the equipment in her apartment after reaching the ground floor. Clearing out the heads in a solo run is totally doable but a bit rougher earlier on for those fights with 3-4 heads. And you only gain an elixir for killing the heads so not exactly a huge benefit if you're just going for a failed ritual speedrun.

Shotgun is also consistent to get and if you nab the shotgun shells in Frederic's apartment (especially while waiting for the landlord's apartment to open) you should have enough to kill anything in your path that you can't run by.
Freeman Mar 30 @ 8:28am
Good plan.
There's an option to kill her body? I was never given this option, i dont think?
Punchy Mar 30 @ 9:24am
the fastest route right now with a clear time of like 16 minutes or something involves just using photo paper (does not need to be developed, it can just be blank), crumpled manuscript, clean manuscript and the guinea pig as your offerings. completely solo, nobody is recruited because there isn't any particular point to doing so and I think the only three things you even fight is the starting enemy, the three dudes on entering the landlord apartment and the Elevator Thing? Just juke absolutely everything else.

i skip it for now everytime im doing speed run, since its side quest only. but yeah the fight can a bit rougher early game.
