It's always there. 0451 activates dev cheats. Not sure if any other numbers do anything. I would imagine someone has tested all 9999 by now.

Go to the East wall in your bedroom, right next to the dresser and hit the interact key/A button. A number tumblr will pop up, put in 0 4 5 1 and enter. It'll ask if you want to enable cheats. Heads up, this will disable achievements though.

does anyone know how to turn it back off? like if you wanted to give yourself an item and then turn it off again? something was bugged and i couldn't pick up a key item and i thought turning on dev would help, but now i cant turn it back off to continue playing normally.

It is, but only if you edit game files first. Look it up on the game wiki (cheats section). I used it to make a guide, and it saved me a lot of time.

It is currently disabled (likely to be re-enabled when Frankie is done-done with the game), though if you want cheats without digging through the game files, you can also do this:

Open console with Ctrl + Shift + i (not L, i)
Go to console tab
Put in "$gameSwitches.setValue(7,1)"

To turn it back off, just do the same instructions but replace the 1 with a 0. Pretty simple.

i didnt know that they re-added dev cheats becuase they got rid of it when they put out the 1.6 update
