How do I get Philippe?

I’m seeing a couple achievements tied to him(not 100% sure what “He’s real right?” means??), and I want my silly moth(I assume he’s a moth)

Fungi biome, he's trapped there, just look around the Basement, you'll get there eventually

haven't tried taking him home, but he does join your party once you free him... That is if you let him join

If you really don't mind spoilers... If you try to go home he'll change into a fungus and attack you. Same if you bring him to the Spore Mother. Bringing him to the Spore Mother is needed for the "One With the Fungus" achievement (this will result in a game over) and "He's real right?" is obtained from picking all the options that Philippe is real when he reveals himself as a fungus.

Not to my knowledge. I didnt even think about the fact that dude yoinked my sewage blade. Definitely not possible to keep in the party

Folks in the other thread claim that you can't. Seems like this is the common problem for all the companions in this situation. Game engine's issue probably.
