I feel so stupid for asking this, but how do you beat him? I've tried both focusing on him and taking out the eyes first but both lead to me dying. Should i be using my skills or am i not supposed to fight him early on?

Use knife you got from the first fight, and use maybe carve attack on him. Once he goes down his eyes will follow. He's not tough and can take only maybe 2-3 good hits.

If you're anything like full hp you'll surely win.

Didn’t have issues on my end with him, first time critted on the third turn, only ever saw his ads on my second run. Use the kitchen knife, and pick up the forks off the table in the room he’s in and toss them at him the first two turns, then maybe use a skill on him.

You can play the game Jump Lad for 2 sessions to give yourself a decent attack ability, I usually used that.
