(Spoilers) Is guinea pig the only thing for the camera room?
Just got to the camera room with the blank tape. Realized that the guinea pig was eaten by the shadow-thing with a mask.

Does that mean nothing else can be put on the chair?

Unfortunately, yes. Nothing else can be put in the chair. This means you cannot get the recording of the visitor and this means you cannot get any of the successful ritual endings.

I did the same thing on my playthrough (it seems quite a few people did).

You can fix this by running this command in the game's console:

$gameParty.gainItem($dataItems[334],1);

Hit f12 and then go the console tab in the window that pops up and run that command. A replacement guinea pig will then be generated in your inventory. This is one of the few cases where using the console to generate an item for free is justified in my opinion.

Good luck.

Ouch. Yeah, unfortunately, Cinnamon is a required item, but there isn’t much in the way of conveying such. Unfortunately this issue with the demo was never resolved :b

Not able to open the console with f12. Did you enable the dev console somewhere else first?
If the latest 1.01 patch notes are any indicator, F12 no longer accesses the console.

"Oh and of course, Fixed issue where the steam overlay doesnt work properly and trying to take a screenshot of the game with F12 brings up the console instead."
I think you could still fix this with an RPG maker save editor. There’s one online. Load in the save, then load in the items, it should give you the names of stuff and give you the ability to add in the gerbil.

How did you get this to work as of patch 1.01?
Just get a different ending, and next time don't feed it to the shadow.

Just used the ctrl+shift+i shortcut to access the devtools, which let me access the console.
