Other one that comes to mind is if you steal a lot of personal items from others homes (food and consumables are fine to take, personal items are usually junk unless the merchant who looks like the RE4 merchant stops by) you confront yourself about taking items and it’s funny.
Their appearance is random, once the Joel one appeared right after I completed it, reloaded a save and it didn’t pop up for another 2 days.
Honestly, I feel like the one about killing the teeth family to be silly too. I get feeling weird about hurting people but like, they are literally trying to kill you. I was rolling my eyes through that and the one about stealing from apartments filled with monsters.
From what i have been able to test myself, there are a LOT of paths with these scenes, depending on how you attempt to reason with your actions. My personal favorite is getting Sam to think that maybe he was doing a good thing, only to think that there could have been another way. The expression he gives is horrified and horrifying
I also got one at the table when sitting down to eat, where you are looking at the kitchen knife deeply and feeling tempted to stab yourself some eyeball holes, as if the knife is sort of possessing you. It's if you took that knife from the first eyeball belly guy. It gives you the option to do so, or snap out of it. I didn't want to FA, so I didn't FO
I don't know, sure the dad, but the whole family?
I tried to get the knife scene from what you mentioned and managed it. Sure enough if you stab yourself you'll get a game over and think of how stupid you were to cut yourself open. Makes me wonder if there are other fatal events like that (besides Monty setting your apartment on fire). Thanks for the info!
Nice, I was uneasy about it since it wasn't covered in CrankyTemplars' death compilations from what I can tell. Its cool finding eerie new dead ends
Monty can set fires to napkins at dinnertime. You can either tell him to knock it off, or encourage his inner Beavis (which leads to a game over)
There's actually a second version of the knife scene where you do find eyes and keep cutting yourself until you go insane. I have no idea what triggered this other version as I did the same thing. But it's neat to see nonetheless!
Thats wild. I still havent got the knife scene again since first report but I love all these rare hidden events. Its always special when even crank templar misses it in his initial game coverage
