Wish there was autosave on hard mode
I'm loving the game so far, but man do I wish I had a way to save/autosave without running back to my apartment. I've lost 20-30 minutes of progress multiple times because I narrowly lost a combat. I'd much prefer to suffer some sort of penalty for losing a fight instead of just getting a game over screen.

I know that easy mode allows you to save whenever but I appreciate the additional challenge of the more difficult mode.

Hard mode? is it locked behind something, i've beaten the game and as far as I can tell there is only the two difficulty modes of normal and easy

There's no "Hard" mode yet, although the developer did mention intending to add something like that at some point, the OP probably means "normal".

After having already finished the game once - I agree with this sentiment.

I'd prefer to have the option to save anywhere (or just autosave) without sacrificing whatever other things normal mode changes on top of "easy" - although, despite the game saying "normal" makes the game harder, I can't say I noticed a difference (other than the saving part) - I finished on normal first with the "best ending" and now started an easy run to get some achievements I missed.
Normal mode has more resources for you to pick up. I noticed it immediately early on, as after dying on floor 1 to a non-combat encounter, and seeing how easily I can get curbstomped by RNG until I get more party members, I decided that constantly losing progress just to experiment with things and figure out what I'm supposed to do wasn't worth my time. This system feels fine in an action game, where skill plays a large role, but in a turn based combat game, it feels like I'm just paying with large amounts of my time to go through the necessary processes of trial and error.
I played on easy mode as it was what was in the demo. Simple enough reasoning, me thinks, yaya!
Will use normal mode for my challenge runs, however. Being able to save anywhere defeats my "Look Outside but Im homeless" idea ;b
