What items to sell?

I've got some items that don't seem to have an obvious use. Is there a list of which ones to sell and which to keep? I don't want to sell a thingie, only to discover that I needed to give it to a dude way down the line.

I'm pretty confident that all of the items with the treasure chest looking icons next to them are designed purely to be sold.

Everything else should have a use.

I feel like a lot of items in the game are meant to be trash to sale. The game apparently has multiple endings anyway, so there’s little reason to worry about it.

Anything with the treasure chest icon is for selling. Examples include the handbag in Joel's house and the DND game in Lyle's house

DO NOT sell "Junk" though. There is a specific trader who comes to your door randomly who buys junk, and if you give him enough he'll become a party member, so hoard that ♥♥♥♥.
