ok, but does it have to be equipped? i just dont think its working, cause i dont hear anything or see anything happening in the room where i got it. the guy said he put training mines there so i can try it out
The guy said he put training mines down, I can't get those to work either.
I have it equipped and it occasionally will beep and indicate a mine outside with a green ring when walking around but very often it doesn't work and they pop up without being detected but you can still grab them quickly.
This just seems to be how it works, maybe the intention of it is to walk around slowly scanning the area, but fully walking or running around doesn't seem to work well with it.
Also I have scoured the entire area and have yet to find one piece of treasure. As well as these 'caches' the radio guy is supposed to point you to. I found money in the room he's in, in the wall and some more cash in the floor in a different room but I have no idea if these are them or not because I heard absolutely no audio cues.
The game seems to be designed to let you trial and error a lot of things and figure it out for yourself, which I absolutely love, too many games hold your hand excessively, but then certain bugs can make it very confusing. Like the red X or things not working how they are being described to you.
