How do you save?
Sorry for the noob question, but is there a certain item or something that we need to save like the old resident evil games? Or is it like a timed thing and it saves at the end of the day?

Hello, the save option depends on the difficulty. If you chose the easier one then you have a save option in the menu on the bottom. If you went with the harder difficulty then you can only save in your apartment by talking to your neighbor (the eye in the wall)

Ah I see, I couldn't find her after the first conversation. I guess she shows up again later.

Not being able to save in normal mode, except when the game wants, is hard difficulty level via bad quality of life…

It adds tension to actions, otherwise >you< would just be saving before every door lmao

Do you also feel this way about Fear & Hunger's save systems via books of enlightenment, beds that feature dice rolls if even one enemy is alive on the floor you're on, and sigils (Termina only)?

There’s no reason there should only be two saving options: a) When the game decides, after completing some obscure test. b) At any time (as you mention).

Here the developer said that “in harder difficulty […] you can only save in your apartment by talking to your neighbor (the eye in the wall).” But the eye in the wall is not showing anymore after one hour of game play.

Not giving any hint about how to save after an hour of gameplay is clearly a design mistake. The same thing happened to the OP.

Totally, because absolutely everyone has to play *Fear & Hunger* in order to post a Steam comment.

You didn't read the message that came up when it first told you how to save. You have to make minimal progress forward to be able to come back and save. Sitting in the apartment playing games isn't considered progress. Its not an obscure test at all lmaooooo @u

Sorry if this is off topic of discussion, but there is a problem with saving. The ability to save just stops working after the first fight with a neighbor who has an eye on his stomach, the very first fight. Both on high difficulty level and on easy. Until then, you can save even a thousand times. Tried to accumulate the maximum danger after the battle with the first neighbor and then save - also does not help. Thank you in advance for the answer.

It's really easy actually, the game lets you save every time you get into enough danger zones. You don't even need to fight anything, you can just leave or avoid enemies.

Hi! Do you find a solution?
Yeah the thing is, I understand how saving works, but it is infuriating to learn how it works. Really not explained.
Makes the first few hours horrible. Defeating enemies should advance the possibility of saving (A LOT MORE FFS), because when you play for fun and need to go to sleep IRL cause IDK you have a job, the game should let you do that in less than 10 or 15 minutes.
Like -fear and hunger- where you can just back track and risk it all.

In other words, good idea, horrible design.
