Help, game crashes and asks for Sonic Cineplayer Decoder pack

Whenever I get to the part in the beginning where you open the dad's taped up book, or when you go past the page in the photo album where the mom and dad are playing their instruments, the game freezes and asks to download Sonic Cineplayer Decoder Pack (which I don't have) and requests that I download CPDP.msi (which costs 14.99 so ♥♥♥♥ that). I tried downloading an alternative codec (K-Lite) and it is fully up to date, yet the game still asks for Sonic Cineplayer. What do I do?
